THE NEW CHILD – FRIENDLY SEARCH ENGINE (KIDDLE) HAS CAUSED CONFUSION AROUND THE WORLD.

Would you let your child use kiddle ?

A new website designed as a child-friendly search engine has caused confusion and concerns among users.
A number of news outlets have highlighted the Kiddle search engine site, which is seen as an official Google spin-off looking to cater to young internet users, although the site is not owned or run by Google, reports Mirror Online.
Parents have also welcomed the creation of the search engine under the impression this is ‘Google for kids’.
It uses a Google Custom Search bar embedded within the website in a bid to filter out adult and unsuitable material.
Certain content is filtered and a number of explicit terms, and celebrities.
But in some cases, it does not manage this too well – such as in these searches above for Khloe Kardashian and Vanessa Hudgens.
A number of Twitter users have also reported their own unfortunate finds while using the site.
The Kiddle website states: “Sites appearing in Kiddle search results satisfy family friendly requirements, as we filter sites with explicit or deceptive content.”
Parental control has to be put in place as this new child – friendly site could be corrupted. Says media experts.
